Horrible Bosses 2 (2014)

The magic trio pull it off again!

I recently caught this at my local cinema the other night, to be honest I had high expectations. I don't normally have great expectations of sequels because well, 9 times out of 10 they just aren't as good as the original. Just take The 'Inbetweeners 2' for example, yeah it was decent but you simply couldn't over look the over used jokes and humour that after watching every episode of the series a million times had just become boring. This sequel wasn't boring, it didn't recycle old jokes(well of course it did, but only the good ones).  This sequel had the perfect ingredients that filled me with joy as the original did; the first word that comes to mind is chemistry, between these three men.
Shower Buddy Selfie: Jason Sudeikis, Charlie Day and Jason Bateman

Director Sean Anders' winning trio pull off the same comedic excellence of the original. Sudeikis, Day and Bateman provide a magical chemistry that keeps you laughing through out the whirlwind journey.

The trio are at it again but this time, they want to be their own bosses! They have created an innovation in bathroom technology, introducing the "shower buddy!" As you'd imagine they don't get very far; the trio think that they struck it rich, the American dream but their naivety and amateur business knowledge gets exploited buy one rich, heartless bas**** of a business man.
Chris Pine as the cocky, young and rich businessman Rex Hanson

The trio decide to deal with this double cross the only they know how, crime. The three worst criminals are trying their hands again, with a little help from some old friends along the way, but will crime finally pay?
 Fancy it?

we forgot to mention Jennifer Aniston is still very hot, you can thank us later.

Get Hard (2015)

This looks like its going to be one of 2015's biggest comedies. What a duo, Will Ferrell and Kevin Hart. Set for release 27th of March 2015 this film chronicles millionaire James King (Will Ferrell) getting sent down for fraud, bound for San Quentin, King knows he won't be able to handle the hard knock life behind bars. So King uses his money and connections to leave his lavish life behind him and prepare himself for life behind bars. King enlists Darnell Lewis (Kevin Hart), who I can only assume has spent time behind bars and lives the criminal lifestyle to prepare him for his prison stint.

Now there isn't a lot of information other than that at the moment but I for one am extremely excited for the release of this film. The casting is exciting enough, I can only imagine the chemistry between Hart and Ferrell. Not to mention the story line; this film I'm sure will have a lot to offer, I have high hopes.

St.Vincent (2014)

I thought that since I reviewed a classic Bill Murray film last Saturday (Groundhog Day), that it would be a good idea to review Murray's newest contribution to cinema, St. Vincent. Vincent has the whole world against him; the Vietnam Vet hasn't a hope in the word and has no hope in the world. With debts rising and a gambling addiction that never pays out, Vincent has nothing but hatred and despair for almost everything and everyone. Vincent reluctantly ends up looking after his new neighbour's son.. for a fee of course. The pair form an unlikely friendship with the youngster learning how to fight, gamble and binge drink from old Vincent; fair to say he's not the greatest role model a young man could hope for.

As you can imagine the unlikely pair get up to almost everything that they shouldn't. What this film does well is combine comedy with just the right amount of drama and a good tug on the heart strings; a rare combination that a lot of comedy films seem to just miss the mark on or just plain don't get right. Murray brings that miserable, cocky air of arrogance to this role just as he always has.

This truly is a great story of an unlikely friendship, that changes both involved for the better. Heart warming, hilarious and a little bit gritty.

apologies for how short and late this review has been, had a lot of stuff to be doing. well that's a lie, I've just been a little bit lazy. to make up for it I'm adding a new page to the site, check it out, I'm sure you'll like it... http://saturdaynightin.blogspot.co.uk/p/coming-soon.html
